Union County Veterans Remembrance Monument

A 40 ton granite monument that sits in front of the Union County Courthouse in Marysville at the north east corner. One side of the monument has a low-relief carved eagle with outstretched wings perched on top of globe and shield. Along the bottom of this side are the names and illustrations of 11 conflicts involving the United States.
The other side of the monument has inscribed the names of all of the citizens of Union County, Ohio who died in these conflicts with the words "Out Freedom Is Not Free" "They gave their tomorrows so we might have today" inscribed at the top.
