This mural is a part of a series of murals in downtown Minerva, Ohio. Each panel displays historical scenes of the village, including here the Union School which was on the corner of Line Street and Grant Street in Minerva. The school was built in 1880 and closed in 1937. The school was demolished in 1980. The mural is an enlargement of a painting by Ohio artist Dave Barnhouse.
