Steubenville, Ohio (Jefferson County) is the location of 25 unique murals commemorating the city, citizens, and historical significance. The majority of the murals are located downtown and two are located in Hollywood Plaza just 1.5 miles from downtown. This impressive 61-foot by 32-foot mural is dedicated to Steubenville's early medical heritage. Once a city of the ceramic industry, glassworks, and coal mines yet no hospitals. One such glasswork company served as a first aid station. Later, the city established the Guild Hospital in 1931. This mural honors Steubenville's early medical history.
