The Jeffersonville Veterans Memorial was dedicated on July 15, 2006 and honors veterans with local ties who served in military conflicts dating back to the Revolutionary War. The creation of the memorial was supported by the citizens of Fayette County and many local groups and individuals.

The main component of the memorial features stone tablets etched with the names of the veterans. The central column of this element is etched with the emblems of the various branches of the U.S. military and is topped with a statue of a bronze eagle. In 2007, an additional sculptural element (by artist Richard Rist) was installed behind the original monument and features a rifle standing on its end next to a pair of soldier's boots, with a helmet placed on top of the rifle. These pieces are surrounded by several additional memorial benches and plaques.
