Fallen Timbers Monument
1929 / Bruce Wilder Saville / Monclova
A bronze sculpture of General "Mad Anthony" Wayne flanked by a Native American and a frontiersman. This sculpture is a monument to the Battle of Fallen Timbers which took place on August 20th, 1794. Four bronze reliefs decorate the sides of the base.
Two other memorials are adjacent to the monument and commemorate the lives of those who fought and died in the war (see Relation: Fallen Timbers Memorial).
The United States Post Office Department issued a stamp in 1929 paying tribute to the American victory that featured the image of the monument on it.
The park was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1962.

This victory led to the Treaty of Greenville, August 3, 1795, which opened much of the present state of Ohio to white settlers.
