Walking Together
1972 / David E. Davis / Kent
Eight massive black stained cedar beams, anchored together in a tentatively walking position. The walking series involves a horizontal axis around which several identical appendages revolve. Suspended from one of the bars is a chain. The chain juxtaposes itself to the angularity of the wooden units. Since being installed, the small trees surrounding the sculpture at the time now cover it.
